Brigadier General [Retired] Matt Isler

Brigadier General [Retired] Matt Isler is the COO of DEFCON AI. Matt joined DEFCON AI from energy and aerospace startup Radia, Inc., where he served as Vice President and built Radia's international energy projects business area and renewables portfolio. Prior to Radia, Matt completed a 29-year career as a U.S. Air Force General Officer, fighter pilot, and joint leader. During his military service, Matt commanded a F-15C fighter squadron and a flying training wing, led Air Force combat operations in Iraq to defeat ISIS and liberate Mosul, served as deputy commander for Middle East air forces including combat operations and the 16,000 Airmen deployed across Central/Southwest Asia, and led international relations activities for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. He led U.S. delegations to close Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases for fighter aircraft, precision targeting, surveillance, and electronic attack capabilities valued over $20B. Matt is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (B.S., Physics), the National War College (M.S., National Security Strategy), and has taught fighter tactics at the U.S. Air Force Weapons School. He is a Trustee of the USAF Academy's Falcon Foundation and a 2007 Fellow of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations' Young Leader's Program.
